If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like when a wedding has personality woven into every single detail this is it.
Christine and TJ got married at the iconic Hotel Drover in Fort Worth, Texas, and from the moment I arrived, I knew this day was going to be something special. Western charm, intentional details, and two people completely at ease in their own love story. That’s the dream combination.
Hotel Drover is one of those venues that does half the work for you. The warm stone facade, the glowing neon sign, the Spanish tile accents it’s Texas through and through, but elevated in a way that feels timeless rather than kitschy. It was the perfect backdrop for a couple who clearly knows exactly who they are.
And Christine and TJ? They leaned all the way in.
TJ in a sharp black suit and a classic black cowboy hat. Christine in a stunning long-sleeve lace gown paired with baby blue cowboy boots that somehow managed to look both bridal and completely her own. A blush and peach bouquet with soft wildflower accents that felt like a Texas meadow in her hands.
But the details didn’t stop there. Grazing stations for guests to gather around, margaritas flowing, and florals that were soft and romantic without feeling overdone. Every element felt personal like Christine and TJ had thought about their guests and their story equally.
That’s the kind of wedding that photographs beautifully, because the love behind every decision shows up in the images.
There’s a moment in the photo from outside the Drover TJ looking at Christine like the rest of the world just disappeared, her laughing softly, the wind catching her veil. Nobody told them to do that. That’s just them.
After more than nine years photographing weddings across Texas, those are still the moments that get me. The unscripted ones. The ones that happen between the big moments, when people forget I’m there and just exist in their day.
Christine and TJ gave me so many of those.
I’ve spent over a nine years documenting love stories across Texas and I’m now bringing that same approach to New York City. Whether you’re planning a Fort Worth wedding with western flair or a Manhattan ceremony with city energy, I would love to be your photographer.
Christine and TJ, thank you for letting me witness something so genuinely, beautifully you. Fort Worth was lucky to have you.
